This is a solid & attractive example of the 6138 black bullhead, fully serviced and ready to wear.
Fully serviced here this last weekend
6138B 21j movement upgraded with upper mainspring arbor jewel (6138s already have a lower mainspring arbor jewel).
Dial and hand lume are original; I cleaned the dial lume, and it has a pleasant slight tan color. Presents well, looks good, nice vintage look.
Hands are excellent with no paint chips, and white clean lume
Unfaded main sweep resets to zero as it should
Case is in excellent condition with sharp edges. It has swirlies and signs of use, but no abuse. Brushed surface on the front slope of the case and the bracelet has been brightened at some point in the past, but doesn’t detract from the appearance
Bezel insert is excellent, with unfaded gold highlights
Bracelet is full-length and then some, easily fits my 7.5” wrist with three adjustments to spare
No moisture damage - no corrosion or pitting on the case or in the movement.
