For sale is a freshly serviced JDM 6218-8971 from November 1964. The 6218 movement is a variant of the 6246 Grand Seiko movement. This watch is a week-dater Seikomatic. It has 35 jewels and new seals. Everything is completely original to the watch. The high box crystal is genuine and has been hand polished. Dial, chapter ring and hands are all excellent. Case is solid stainless steel and unpitted. There are signs of wear from normal use, but no abuse. The 6218 has an extremely stable, accurate and durable movement, one of Seiko’s best.
