Seiko 6138-0020 JDM "Tokei Zara" from September 1971

Seiko 6138-0020 JDM "Tokei Zara" from September 1971

$875.00

The Tokei Zara had two versions, the gray dial for australia and the “blue eye” for Japan. They are not often seen and usually when they are seen they are beaten to death or faded.

I’ve fully serviced this watch. It has new seals and case has been rebuilt. Internally, the case is in great condition with no pitting. The Chrono hands are original and have never been painted. It has a Kanji/English day wheel. I put one of our KVW crystals into it. Snaps right to zero and runs strong. Movement is excellent.

The bracelet that I put on is an excellent solid stainless aftermarket President and I put an original Seiko clasp on it.

I relumed the dial, as well as the underneath of the hands. This keeps the original look of the hand lume with some patina, but it glows. The case has been refinished, but it is really well done. It was done with a lapping machine and obviously by a professional. Whoever refinished it did an excellent job.

It is a daily wearer right now!
