This is an original Seiko 6138-8020 from December 1972. Watch pricing includes full servicing as well as replacement of the chapter ring and crystal.

• Original dial and hands and lume

• Dial is excellent; only a few small things here and there. Vertical brushing intact, clear top coat nice and clear.

• Lume original and clean, slightly darkened on the dial

• Bracelet will fit 7.5” easily

• Watch stops, starts, resets, winds manually and automatically, as it should.

• Watch is in adjustment with decent accuracy and nearly no beat error.

• Case sealing surfaces are good and solid.

Other stuff:

• Service history is unknown

• Amplitudes are in the low 200s at full wind

• Crystal is generic aftermarket, but an old type

• Tachy ring is for the “black panda” so black with gold printing. Appears to be a service replacement.

• Case and bracelet have been polished. Again, looks to me like an old-school watchsmith job.

• Minor signs of humidity inside - spots on the winding weight. Rest of the movement looks fine, and movement ring spring is fine.
