Seiko 6139-6032 21j JDM Speedtimer, fully serviced, original.
Fully original to itself
Movement completely serviced a few weeks ago, here (video is up on the channel)
Movement upgraded during service with upper & lower mainspring arbor jewels - no more arbor wear!
All functions work as they should - chronograph stops, starts, resets correctly
Excellent amplitude and accuracy. The restoration video shows the numbers.
Dial is dated January ‘71, caseback is March ‘71. Dial is proof, caseback is resistant. I can’t see anything that says the watch wasn’t made the way it is now. It didn’t have any servicing marks, the movement looked untouched, the entire watch looking built as a piece from new. I personally believe it’s likely the watch was made this way, simply because nothing looks out of place or funky, and the dial & caseback dates are within the normal separation range for a dial and caseback.
Case in good original polish with clean case lines. Top brushing shows wear, corners of cases, etc, but no abuse.
Caseback is clean; no tool marks, only usual swirlies.
Dial is original, all lume on the dial is original, as is the hand and pip lume.
I lightly underlumed the handset as part of the normal lume reinforcement process
Bracelet is one of the old good aftermarket folded taper H-links. These were produced in the 00’s and are remarkably accurate to the originals. The Stelux bracelets these came on were not good quality and tended to fail. There is an aftermarket version out there as well.
Crystal is the original Type II double-dome 330W10GN00. It has some marks, a few tiny edge chips, and the top surface has been polished slightly.
