Seiko 7A38, a representative of what I consider to be the greatest all-round quartz movement ever made. The 7A was the first analog quartz chronograph ever created, a world first. Four separate gear trains, fifteen jewels, fly-by-wire technology. Insanely overbuilt, these were designed to show the world what Seiko could really do.

• Signs of wear, most notably to the gold plating on the bracelet and case. It almost looks to be silver toned, rather than two-tone.

• All functions work exactly as they should, as the movement was serviced last Saturday.

• 7A38A 15j movement in excellent shape.
