I’ve talked a lot of this watch in particular and these models in general.
830x movement family is automatic, and hand-winding
Swiss-style reversing wheel winding means a lower stack height - a slimmer watch
Crystal runs nearly edge-to-edge, increasing the apparent size of the watch
Dial is radiant brushed, and these all had a slight blue/violet color. Unusual, and as far as I know Seiko didn’t use it again
Luming is very unusual - bullet markers are lumed on the outside ends, facing outwards, and the hands are lumed on the underside. When fully charged, the lume glow outlines the hands and encircles the dial. These are the only models that Seiko did this with, as far as I know.
Movement fully serviced, oh boy was it.
All seals replaced
Stock flat / hidden crown I replaced with an NOS vintage Seiko crown that is not hidden - this makes hand-winding so much easier and frankly makes the watch better looking. I will include the original crown.
Dial has a few marks on it, they can be seen in strong light or in reflection. They are marks on the top clear-coat.
