Seiko 6139-6005 No-text Chronograph, 3/75, excellent & unrestored - servicing available
This is an intact original example of the late ‘no text’ blue pogue on the correct taper H-link bracelet. It is unrestored / un-serviced.
6139B movement is original and in very good condition. No water damage. Unserviced. Minute-counter hand pushes over as it should; the chronograph wheel is good. Main sweep and minute-counter hand reset to zero. Both buttons stick due to the gaskets being the old original ones.
Excellent cosmetics - bright white original lume on the dial, hands, and indicator ring pip. A slight bit of patina on the inner edge of the minute hand lume. Dial printing is bright and clean. Applied SEIKO logo is excellent, as is the date window, and marker tops. Chronograph hands are unfaded and bright.
Case brushing on the top has been lightly touched up, and the bracelet has. been rebrushed, but all case lines are intact and original. Edges are sharp. Correct and original taper H-link bracelet is full-length. Several tool marks on the caseback which is otherwise excellent.
Crystal is the original Type II 330W18GN00, and while it does have a scattering of small marks on the glass, the clarity is excellent. If I had restored this watch for myself I would have kept the crystal as it looks great to my mind.
This watch is unserviced and I would not call it wearable. I am able to service the watch if needed. Regardless, the watch should be fully serviced before wearing.
