Early piece with the etched dolphin caseback. Etching is in very nice condition, with an intact frosted surface, clear lettering & serial numbers.

Dial and hand lume are excellent and original

Markers and hands have a few hazy spots but are otherwise bright and clean

Time-setting is smooth

Day/date quickset works as it should

Datewheel shows some toning in the clear coat on some dates

6217A movement was professionally serviced in 2024, and it was a good job. I’ll extend my own warranty for the watch.

Movement is bright and clean, running well with amplitudes in the 250s & 260s. Automatic winding is good. Plating is good with intact plating on the high points

Crown is freshly rebuilt with a new gasket

All sealing surfaces are excellent

Crystal shows a few marks but no crazing or hazing

Rotating ring insert shows some marks but generally is very good. Lume in the pip is lost. I can relume it for the new owner if they’d like.

Case sides have been repolished; top edges are slightly blurred, top brushing is slightly smoothed over but is intact

Comes on an Uncle Seiko ‘Tropic’ strap
