Seiko’s first display back watch, the glorious Time Sonar. This is the brown dial variant with the green sweep.

• Fully serviced last week (3rd week of May ‘24) by me.

• Flyback chrono works as it should

• Brand-new NOS genuine Seiko balance installed during service

• Movement was clean & intact prior to servicing

• As is typical with these, the serial number has worn off of the caseback so the date of manufacture is unknown.

• Green flash at 12 & green sweep hand are unfaded.

• Dial text clean & sharp

• Tachy ring text clean and sharp

• Orange Kanji for ‘Sunday’ repainted by hand by me; I’m very proud of the job I did. The ‘SUN’ is still faded.

• Case appears to be in excellent original condition. If it’s touched up, I can’t see it.

• Case entirely rebuilt with new seals (due to the plastic caseback which develop crazing over time, don’t treat this watch as water resistant).

• Head only
