Seiko 7548-7000 JDM diver, Kanji / English, fully serviced, Oct '81, on prototype pre-first gen Uncle Seiko Z199
Comple and all-original JDM 7548 diver from 1981. This one is fully restored, ready to wear.
Authenticity: Watch head is 100%, genuine and original
Near perfect dial and hands.
All lume is original.
Dial resist text is a the slightly faded brick red, but clearly the red.
Movement - quartz chronograph Caliber 7548 - fully serviced here. Upgraded with center wheel jewel. After service it was timed to a few hundredths of a second per day accuracy.
Case Material - Stainless Steel. All case finishes are original, everything. Front, back, sides, top, caseback. Watch lived a short but active life. Frosting around tsunami is mostly intact. Case lines are all present, top brushing is clear. Two dings on the left side; one on either lug side. One ding to the upper crown guard. The usual swirlies and that.
Insert surface is excellent, near perfect really. Beautiful lume pip. The original owner was not careful though, and the edge of the rotating ring and corresponding area of the insert are dinged. All of them face the same direction and have the same curve, so I’d say the owner did them all in one go.
Crystal is a new KVW 320W34GA00.
Case fully serviced with new seals installed.
Case shows wear consistent with having been someone’s daily for a time.
Caseback still has remains of the frosting around the tsunami.
Comes on a pre-release prototype Z199 from Uncle Seiko; the last one I have left. These did not have removable links, which was corrected in subsequent runs. I believe only a handful of these were ever made.
Shipping: Worldwide shipping.
