Seiko 7A38-7029 chronograph "Royal Oak", Dec '83. Fully serviced, total rebuild.
This is very good all-original example of one of the more sought-after Seiko 7As. Due to the shape and style of the bezel, it is sometimes referred to as the “Royal Oak”. It’s a solid, manly design with an integrated bracelet, octagonal case shape. The 7A movement is, in my opinion, the greatest overall quartz movement ever made. The first analog quartz chronograph ever made. Four separate trains, all-metal construction, fifteen jewels. Massively overbuilt.
15-jewel movement is completely and freshly serviced. Movement was torn down completely, to the base plate. No screw left unscrewed.
Case fully cleaned, bracelet as well
NOS Seiko springbars installed
All new seals
New crystal
Dial, hands, chapter ring - all original
All lume is original and more or less immaculate - white and clean
Case & bracelet show wear and signs of use, but no abuse
Bracelet is sized for a solid 7.5”. There are six removable links.
