Seiko 6106-8589 'Chevron', March '71, fully serviced
This is the rarest of the ‘Gene Kranz’ sport divers, the so-called ‘Chevron’. It is fully serviced and ready to wear.
The original 17j 6106C movement is fully serviced and upgraded with mainspring arbor jewels, making the current jewel count 19.

Case fully cleaned and rebuilt with new gaskets
NOS acrylic crystal
Case shows signs of wear and use but no abuse. Several small tool marks on the caseback, but overall finish is original
Pip lume is original and nice, matches the hands and dial Dial paint surfaces show small marks and places where the paint was damaged and repaired with a slightly lighter blue fill. Chapter ring has also had some repairs done. There is one spot at around :05 where the dial metal is exposed. SEE PHOTOS! They make it look more than it does in person.
Dial lume is excellent, matching the original hand lume and lume pip.
