This is a complete and original Omega Mk 40, made in 1995 (55xxxxxx serial). This is also called the Schumacher after the race car driver. Hodinkee collaborated with Omega to recreate this watch, though the Hodinkee version is a standard Speedy with Schumacher colors.

This is a “triple date” watch - day and month in the upper subdial, and date indicated by the yellow-tipped hand with a calendar track around the outside of the dial.

It also has running seconds at 9:00, combined with a 24-hour arrow-tip hand. Main chronograph has running seconds, 30 minutes, and 12 hours.

I fully serviced this watch like two months ago - it was a serious undertaking.

• Movement serviced and is accurate & strong. Clean amplitude in the 290s to the 310s, zero beat error, flat accuracy.

• Hacks as it should

• Date quickset works as it should.

• Original dial in excellent condition

• Dial lume is original tritium, and has the early seconds track without minute

• Handset is immaculate.

• Case has not been polished - original with signs of wear.

• Insert has wear on the inner edge between :53 to :00 or so.

• Case and bracelet are fully cleaned and shiny

• Original Sapphire crystal with AR coating. It has some marks on it, minor handling ones, swirlies etc.

• Bracelet is short, around 7”. I added a non-Omega link to make it wearable for me, snug at 7.5”. See photos.

• Watch & bracelet only - no box or papers.

• I am now including a second handset with toned lume!
